Day 40: Mission Statement

Today, I woke up and weighed myself. Weight is: 83.1 Kg. Yesterday I consumed 61 calories over my BMR and did 157 calories of exercise above my BMR. Total deficit is 96 calories.

A mission statement is a short statement of why an organization exists, what its overall goal is. identifying the goal of its operations: what kind of product or service it provides, its primary customers or market, and its geographical region of operation. It may include a short statement of such fundamental matters as the organization's values or philosophies, a business's main competitive advantages, or a desired future state—the "vision." A mission statement does the same thing for a person.

A mission statement is not simply a description of an organization, but an expression, made by its leaders, of their desires and intent for the organization. The purpose of a mission statement is to communicate the organisation's purpose and direction to its employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. A mission statement also creates a sense of identity for its employees. A mission statement helps a person decide what kind of person they are and why they do the things they do.

A mission statement provides direction: Mission statements are a way to direct you into the right path. They play a part in helping you make better decisions which can be beneficial for you. Without the mission statement providing direction, you may struggle when it comes to making decisions and planning for the future. This is why providing direction could be considered one of the most advantageous points of a mission statement.

A mission statement provides clear purpose: Having a clear purpose can remove any potential ambiguities that may surround the actions you may perform. People who are part of your life, such as family and friends, will want to know why you are making the decisions you are, and that you are making the right choices and progressing towards achieving your goals, which will help to remove any doubt your friends and family may have.

You need to create a Mission Statement for yourself. What do you want to do? How do you want to do it? For whom do you do it? What value will this create for you?
