Day 17: Free Weight VS Machines

Today, I woke up and weighed myself. Weight is: 84.4Kg. Yesterday I consumed 80 calories above my BMR and did 172 calories of exercise above my BMR. Total deficit is 92 calories.


I appear to be stuck in the range between 84.0kg and 84.4Kg. This is where I have been for about a week. It might be too early to tell. This is why we use the rolling average instead of day to day weight for determining progress. But I should have been consistent below 84.0Kg and I’m not, so I am preparing now mentally for a 200 calorie drop for my BMR. Which means dropping another 200 calories from my diet.


Personally, I like free weights, and I believe free weights provide a better workout. Free weights require stabilizer muscles when performing the movement, therefore more muscles are incorporated into the movement, therefore more energy is used and all around fitness is improved.
